Hurricane Helene has wreaked havoc across East Tennessee, bringing deadly floods, road closures, and school disruptions. Our community is hurting, and now is the time for us to do what we do best: band together and help our neighbors in need.

Whether it’s donating supplies, offering a warm meal, or lending a hand, every bit helps. These are our friends, and they need us.

That’s why I’m suspending all fundraising for my campaign to focus entirely on supporting the recovery efforts. Let’s channel our energy into helping those folks affected by this disaster—our community is strong, but we need to be there for one another.

I’ve seen East Tennesseans rise up in times of crisis before, and I have no doubt we’ll do it again. Together, we can weather this storm and come out stronger.

Here are some resources I recommend checking out: 

• The Salvation Army is providing essential relief services to impacted communities, including meals and emotional support.
• East Tennessee Foundation’s Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund is accepting donations to help local nonprofits and agencies with long-term recovery efforts.
• Samaritan’s Purse is mobilizing a massive relief effort to provide food, shelter, and recovery support for those affected by Hurricane Helene.
