emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

Dear John,

In this moment, when so many are struggling in the midst of the
COVID-19 pandemic, it's hard not to feel overwhelmed. But the same
thing remains true today as when I first began volunteer training at
Children's Hospital Los Angeles-every one of us can do something to
make a difference.

Today is Giving Tuesday Now, a new global day of unity for us to come
together and provide for the people and organizations that need help
now more than ever.

Until midnight tonight, all donations to CHLA's COVID-19 Emergency
Response Fund will be TRIPLED, up to $25,000, thanks to a generous
match contribution by Kinecta Federal Credit Union. Will you join me
in making a gift that does even more for kids before midnight?

I know how isolating this time has been for many of us. But, even in
this moment, we are still a community-and as a community, we
take care of each other.

And that's what I love about CHLA. They take care of every child. It's
so incredible that they're serving every family that comes in the door
and needs help, regardless of their family's financial situation.

Every child deserves the kind of outstanding care provided at CHLA.
Right now, providing that care in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic
is more critical-and harder-than ever before.

As a nonprofit hospital, CHLA relies on community support to provide
compassionate care, life-changing cures and groundbreaking research
that helps save lives. When you give now to the COVID-19 Emergency
Response Fund, your gift will be tripled and a child at CHLA will
receive a copy of "Careless Corny: A Cautionary Tale," a playful story
written and illustrated by CHLA team members to help kids understand
and cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

Careless Corny is a timely resource that reinforces good hygiene
habits, validates feelings and normalizes the experience that many
kids are having about the pandemic.

And your gift today does so much more than make sure every child in
the hospital receives a copy. It can also help provide:

* 3X the screening, testing and equipment needed to keep our
vulnerable patients, their families and our staff safe from
COVID-19.
* 3X the lifesaving medical care for a sick child-like the
compassionate care provided by the hospital's Fetal and Neonatal
Institute, which treats the most critically ill preemies,
newborns and infants in Southern California.
* 3X the groundbreaking medical treatments, like those developed
by The Saban Research Institute of Children's Hospital Los
Angeles. They have more than 400 faculty collaborating to combat
cancer, brain disorders, autism, obesity and diabetes, among
other devastating pediatric diseases.
