Happy October! November 5 is only 5 weeks away! We’re working to elect climate champions up and down the ballot. This week, we are continuing to host phone banking events to keep the momentum up until Election Day! Keep reading to find out how you can get involved.

More than 1,000 members RSVPed for EDF Action’s “Climate Voters, Unite!” volunteer kickoff events, including our national virtual event featuring Pete Buttigieg!
In September, EDF Action organizers hosted volunteer kickoff events all over the country — including an online event for our national membership!

|
Pete urged our members to volunteer, saying, “Often a personal touch is the most powerful thing that will make a difference…. You could be the difference in what is sure to be a close election….”
We’ve taken his message to heart, hitting the ground running with volunteers already knocking on doors in:
- Nevada to re-elect Sen. Jacky Rosen,
- Pennsylvania to re-elect Sen. Bob Casey,
- Wisconsin to re-elect Sen. Tammy Baldwin,
- Michigan to elect Rep. Elissa Slotkin to the Senate, and
- Arizona to elect Rep. Ruben Gallego to the Senate.
Make no mistake, John: These states and these candidates (to name a few) are the battlegrounds that will decide the future of U.S. climate policy. We have to get this done.

GET OUT THE (CLIMATE) VOTE
|
|
This is absolutely the most important election of our lifetime. We need to work harder than ever before in less time than ever before to turn out every climate voter we can on Election Day.
That’s why we're sharing info about a few key states with important voter registration deadlines this week.
October 6: Voter registration deadline in Alaska, Arkansas, Rhode Island, and South Carolina!!
October 7: Voter registration deadline in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas!
**Some states will still allow same-day, in-person voter registration! Check you local voter information guidelines for the most up-to-date information.
No matter where you live it’s critical to register and make a plan to vote before November 5. You can use EDF Action’s easy climate mobilization tool below!
