Dear John,
Making sure our community receives its fair share of federal resources is one of my top priorities in Congress. That’s why I was proud to secure and deliver $17,037,217 for 15 local projects this year.
Here’s a look at the infrastructure projects this funding will support:
$959,757 for Arrowhead Farms Septic to Sewer Project
This funding will connect properties in the Arrowhead Farms community in San Bernardino to municipal sewer services at no cost to homeowners. This project is a win-win, ensuring taxpayer dollars are well spent, while boosting home values and safeguarding our environment.
$1,482,757 for the West Valley Water District’s Bunker Hills Wells and Emergency Generator Projects
Access to clean, reliable water isn’t just a necessity—it’s a basic right. These investments will fund two new groundwater wells, a storage tank, a booster pump station, pipelines and an emergency generator for a pump station. This will ensure that over 100,000 residents in the Inland Empire have consistent access to clean drinking water, even during emergencies or drought. These upgrades will make our water system more resilient and sustainable for the long term.
$3,000,000 for the City of Highland’s SR-210 at 5th Street Interchange Improvements
 |
Safe and efficient roadways are vital to the well-being of our community. This funding will enhance the 210 and 5th Street interchange, a crucial access point for the City of Highland, the San Bernardino International Airport and the City of San Bernardino. These improvements will alleviate traffic congestion, improve traffic safety and ensure smoother commutes for residents and businesses alike.
$1,000,000 for the City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Advanced Traffic Management System
Improving the efficiency of our roadway traffic management is crucial to the quality of life for residents and visitors in our community. This funding will support the deployment of an Advanced Traffic Management System to be responsive to real-time traffic patterns and reduce traffic.
$850,000 for the City of Rialto’s I-10/Riverside Avenue Freight Improvement Project
 |
Enhancing our roadways doesn’t just improve mobility, it improves safety and quality of life for everyone. This funding will support critical improvements along Riverside Avenue, including extending northbound left-turn lanes and adding continuous sidewalks. These upgrades will ease traffic congestion and improve pedestrian safety, benefiting both local commuters and the flow of freight in and out of the region.
These projects are just a few examples of how federal investments can directly improve the lives of residents in the Inland Empire. From cleaner water and safer roads to sustainable infrastructure, each project is a step toward creating a stronger, more resilient community. I’m committed to continuing this work and ensuring that our region receives the resources it deserves. Together, we can build a brighter future for all who call the Inland Empire home.
Thanks,
Pete Aguilar
