We will not be campaigning or fundraising on October 7

Hi John, it’s Brad.

To say the past two weeks in New York City have been eventful would be an understatement.

With so many developments — from the Liberty and the Mets making the playoffs, to the constant drip, drip, drip of resignations, subpoenas, and raids among Mayor Adams’ inner circle — it’s easy to get swept away by the headlines.

But as my campaign adviser Rebecca reminds me, we have a very real and critical fundraising deadline coming up in less than one week…

Monday, October 7 is the next official New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) filing deadline. After this date, every dollar we’ve raised since we launched our campaign for Mayor will become public.

However, as we mark the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel, I will not be campaigning or raising funds on October 7.

That means we’ve set our campaign’s fundraising deadline for October 6. And it means we have one less day of fundraising before our biggest deadline yet.

John, I noticed that you haven’t yet made a contribution to my campaign. Now — at a time when trust in Mayor Adams plummets by the day — I’m asking you to please make your first donation to my campaign this week.

We're hoping to earn 300 grassroots contributions to emails just like this one in the next four days to send that message loud and clear. Will you be one of the supporters to help us get there?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Again, the amount of money we raise before the October 6 filing period is incredibly important to show the viability of our campaign.

Thank you for anything you can pitch in. Each and every contribution reflects our commitment to running a campaign that's truly powered by people — the very New Yorkers who make this city exceptional.

With gratitude,

Brad
