REMINDER: Vice Presidential Debate TONIGHT

JD Vance and Tim Walz

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Sen. JD Vance are scheduled to debate in just a few hours, marking what is expected to be the sole face-off between the vice presidential candidates as the election nears its conclusion.

The event will be moderated by Norah O’Donnell of "CBS Evening News" and Margaret Brennan from "Face the Nation," starting at 9 p.m. ET. The debate will also air on other major media outlets and online.

Like the presidential debate, this debate will occur without an audience, lasting 90 minutes with two four-minute breaks. Candidates will have two minutes to respond to questions, followed by one minute for rebuttals, and closing statements lasting two minutes.

Topics of discussion are expected to include the economy, the border crisis, crime, abortion and foreign policy.

Family Policy Alliance encourages you to watch the debate to discover more about the running mates of the two major party presidential candidates. With the election just weeks away and early voting already starting in some states, now is the time to make a plan to vote according to your biblical values.

If you haven’t done so, we encourage you to join our pledge to PRAY, VOTE and ENGAGE. Scripture calls us to pray for our governing authorities (1 Timothy 2:1-2):

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

As believers, your vote is an extension of your voice, and it does make a difference. We offer free voting reminders and resources around every election in your state.

We also challenge you to engage in the political process, including advocacy, protecting liberty and discovering how to share the gospel and demonstrate Christian virtue while engaging with politics.

Join the pledge now and be prepared for this election—and future elections.
