Regina Dunkin Day 2024 We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as this year's recipient for Regina Dunkin Day 2024. Our hearts are full of thanks for our wonderful community members who purchased a meal, Culver's in Beloit, The Rock Bar & Grill, City of Beloit, Gillian Gosman, Michael Gosman, Richard Myers, Jim Agate, and Jon Pingel. Every single donation will make a meaningful impact on our various programs dedicated to fighting poverty in our community. PBS Hometown Stories Celebrate the community and history of Beloit at a free screening of PBS Wisconsin’s new documentary, Wisconsin Hometown Stories Beloit on Thursday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. at the Eclipse Center. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Seating is limited. Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Beloit premieres at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 on PBS Wisconsin and streaming at pbswisconsin.org and on the free PBS app on all streaming devices. Poverty Matters Conference The 2024 Poverty Matters Conference will be held on October 8th and 9th. Organized by the Wisconsin Community Action Program Association, this conference aims to highlight the challenges faced by low-income families and individuals. We are proud to announce that CAI's staff will be providing presentations and sitting on panels at this year's event. STI Summit 2024 Our amazing team had the incredible opportunity to present and sit on panels at this year’s STI Summit! We are beyond grateful to Health Care Education and Training (HCET) for hosting such an educational and impactful event. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions. Together, we’re making strides in healthcare education and training! Second Annual Heroes Halloween Join us for the Heroes Halloween Event with the City of Beloit Police Department on Sunday, October 27th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rotary River Center in Beloit. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon filled with Halloween-themed fun and activities. There will be plenty of treats for everyone to enjoy! RSVP Today Gingerbread Extravaganza 2024 We are counting down the days for our 11th annual Gingerbread Extravaganza, which will take place December 7th at Fruzen Middle School in Beloit. More Information RSVP Today AHOP Teen Night Join our Adolescent Health Outreach Program on October 16th to learn more about the services provided and to provide a night for middle school aged youth to have some fun. Beloit Expungement Clinic On Thursday, October 3rd from 12-4pm, Legal Action of Wisconsin will be holding an Expungement Clinic at our main office located at 20 Eclipse Center, Beloit. Koats for Kids at AWARE AWARE in Evansville has just wrapped up collecting donations for Koats for Kids. Our "shop" will be open from Monday to Thursday, October 14-17, from 1-5 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the local community to browse through the donated items and find winter gear to take home. Beloit Bundle Up With cooler weather approaching, we need your help to keep our community warm! Visit Beloit will be collecting donations of new or gently used coats, hats, and gloves to the Beloit Bundle Up coat drive for Community Action. Drop your donations off from September 16th - October 21st.
