The path to the House Majority runs through Maricopa County

Paid for by Arizona Democrats

I have always been committed to serving my community with purpose. I served first in the State Legislature, and now I’m running for Congress to help protect our freedoms and ensure our democracy.

I want to share my story (and a few old pictures) with you, but if you are already with me, please split a gift to help me flip Arizona’s First Congressional District »

My parents are Indian immigrants who came to America seeking a better life as engineering students. They raised me in an environment where education was revered as the cornerstone of success.

I went to medical school, trained in Emergency Medicine, and helped the NFL develop emergency protocols for their players. I eventually moved to Arizona, where I still practice as an ER doctor today.

As a physician, I see firsthand the effects of skyrocketing prescription drug costs and the detrimental consequences when the government tries to legislate personal healthcare decisions.

And I see a need for leadership that will fix these problems, not shrug their shoulders and sweep them under the rug.

I ran for local office (and won), and I have dedicated my life to public service ever since.

I am proud of the work I have done in the Arizona House of Representatives. I helped defeat one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the legislature, and protected access to mifepristone. And with bipartisan support, I passed more bills than any Arizona Democrat in decades.

But my work is not done yet. Extreme politicians are playing games with our healthcare, with Social Security, and with a woman’s right to choose.

That is why I am running for US Congress in Arizona's first district.

We need a leader willing to work across the aisle to bring home real solutions for Arizonans. On Election Day, Maricopa County has the opportunity to stand up for our values at the ballot box and flip AZ-01 blue.

I am ready for the tough fight ahead, but I cannot do it alone.

Please, will you chip in any amount to help me win this toss-up race? I am tied in the polls, and anything you can give now will make a difference in our fight. »
