We're truly in a crisis, John. This year, there have been more mass shootings than days. And every day that our lawmakers do nothing to pass gun safety reform, innocent lives are at continued risk.

While two gun safety bills sat in the Senate, 31 more lives were lost to mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. The House has passed bi-partisan legislation that ensures universal background checks on gun sales and strengthens existing checks - but the gun lobby and their cronies in the Senate are refusing to allow this lifesaving legislation to come to a vote.

We cannot let this dangerous pattern of inaction continue while more and more people are killed. We have solutions, so it's time to join every one of our voices together to send a loud, clear message that Senate leadership can't ignore.
