This pandemic highlights the need for new leadership
New American Leaders Giving Tuesday Now Banner

John,

From the White House to governor's mansions and Congress to city halls, this pandemic has made it abundantly clear: it's time for a change.

It's time for a change in leaders so those in office truly represent our communities. A change in policies so racist systems are dismantled, and immigrants, people of color, Indigenous Americans, and all who are hurt by long standing injustices have the resources they need. And a change in our democracy so that all people—especially #PeopleLikeUs—are included in our democracy.

We believe that together, we can achieve these goals and create a more inclusive democracy. But none of this is possible without your support.

NAL works to empower the next generation of New Americans and people of color to run, win, and lead with their values. Over the last several months, we've seen countless examples of this with NALpistas and others in our movement stepping up to lead when establishment politicians and systems have failed. They have worked tirelessly to fight for resources, shine a light on racism, and champion policies that create a democracy that represents and values all people. They are the change our country needs.

However, without your ongoing support, we cannot continue to train the next cohort of bold leaders or provide policy support for those already in positions of power. This means that you'll be stuck with the same pale, stale, and male establishment—something that hurts all of us.

So what do you say? Are you ready to create a more inclusive democracy? Support New American Leaders today for #GivingTuesdayNow and invest in the change you want to see!
