Team —
First off, thank you.
Yesterday was not only one of the biggest fundraising days of the month, or of the quarter, but of the entire campaign.
That’s a testament to this team, and to each of you.
It’s incredibly humbling to have your support, and it also makes this part extremely difficult to share. Even after a massive effort, we came up short on our goals. t.
That doesn’t change the fact that it makes our path to victory a lot more difficult. Later on today I’m going to meet with my team to decide on our strategy over the next month. We’ve got tough calls to make. So, ahead of all of that, I’m writing again you for your help.
If I could win this campaign without sending one more email, I’d do it. But these emails were the single largest source of donations we had last quarter. That’s the truth.
And if we’re going to pick ourselves up and raise what we need to pay for the millions of dollars worth of advertising and outreach and door knocking that we need to win, it’s going to come from grassroots supporters like you. Everyday folks, chipping in what you can, when you can.
So, please. We’d normally take some time off today — but these are not normal times. Can I count on you?
Please, to start October off right and finish this campaign on sound financial footing, I need you to donate $5 or $10 today, or whatever you can afford. It’d mean a lot to me.
