Our work continues...

Dear John,

As we approach another critical presidential election, it’s essential to reflect on how our political system impacts millions of Americans. For far too long, people with disabilities have been treated as an afterthought by politicians, despite being one of the largest minority groups in the country. This election is an opportunity to change that.

From inaccessible polling places to policies that fail to address the needs of the disability community, our political system has consistently fallen short. While candidates often promise inclusion, their actions rarely match their words. We can no longer allow this pattern of neglect and marginalization to continue.

People with disabilities deserve a government that:

  • Ensures equal access to healthcare and employment opportunities
  • Enforces and strengthens laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Provides funding for essential services, from accessible public transportation to assistive technologies
  • Protects the rights of disabled voters by making the voting process more inclusive and accessible

This isn’t about political parties—it’s about human dignity and equal rights. The issues that affect people with disabilities are not partisan; they are universal concerns that impact all of us. No matter who is in office, it’s critical that our leaders hear the voices of people with disabilities and take real action.

We’re asking for your support to help amplify these voices. Your contribution will help us advocate for meaningful changes, hold lawmakers accountable, and push for policies that benefit the disability community. Every dollar you give brings us one step closer to a future where people with disabilities are truly represented and respected in our democracy.

Together, we can ensure that this election is a turning point for disability rights. Please consider donating today and joining our fight for equity and equality.

Thank you for fighting with us.

Sincerely,
Marlene Sallo
Executive Director
