I was honored to be invited to the White House last week for a States Conference on Childcare. Legislators from across the country came with their ideas on how to make childcare more accessible and more affordable for constituents in their states. Childcare being a huge economic drive to our State, I look forward to introducing legislation next near that help working families with children.

I also recently had an opportunity as a member of the Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee to travel to the Coconino Forest to see how the state vegetation mitigation and wildfire management program operates. Thinning out our forests to help manage the potential for wildfires and is a huge and important undertaking. Arizona is a beautiful state and we need to protect it as much as we can.

September 14, 2024 was the day legislation for the 56th Legislature - Second regular session was enacted into law! I was proud to have sponsored two of the only 8 House Dem bills signed into law by the Governor. I also appreciate Sen. Sonny Borelli running my 3rd bill on my behalf, so we could get it across the finish line in time before the end of session.

I'll be explaining the ballot props - what they mean and what they do - with a little legislative gossip thrown in! If you want to bring your ballot, feel free! Just remember: don't vote while drunk!

I hope to continue this important work. But I can't do it without your votes! My republican opponent only came in behind me by 1,000 votes in the primary. A lot of people still don't know who I am, so please help me spread the word.
