Good morning — I wanted to reach out to say thank you.

My team just let me know that we hit our all-important end-of-quarter fundraising goal before last night’s FEC deadline — and we couldn’t have done it without your support.

When we called on grassroots supporters to help us keep pace with the tens of millions spent by Republicans and my self-funding opponent, you answered.

Honestly, we had to spend more than we thought we would over the past three months. Republicans didn’t give us a choice after pouring more than $50 million into Wisconsin.

But we were able to respond, thanks to you.

When end-of-quarter fundraising reports are soon made public, we’ll learn just how much my megamillionaire opponent loaned himself on top of the $13 million he’s already poured into his campaign this year.

This race isn’t going to get any less expensive with just five weeks until Election Day, and it won’t be long before we need to make more difficult decisions about our campaign spending.

But today, I want to keep this message to a thank you.
