John, like many of you, I’ve spent the last few days heartbroken over the devastation that Hurricane Helene has brought to all of those in its path, especially in our state.
I’m sending warmth to the entire Western North Carolina community, especially those who have lost a loved one and those who have lost their home. And I’m grateful for the first responders who are working around the clock on rescue efforts.
The road to recovery will be long and painful, but nothing heals like community. Right now is the time for all of us to come together as one to help our neighbors out.
