John,
The best Get Out The Vote (GOTV) tool is you. When it comes to engaging infrequent voters or getting people to vote for the first time, you are the best persuasion tool there is.
Join CHN and Vote Rev Action Fund to learn about Vote Rev’s simple but immensely effective tactic to persuade hard-to-reach voters to get out and vote. It’s called site-based vote tripling and it's been found to increase voter turnout by 0.5 percentage points! In elections where the margins are razor-thin, that number can make all the difference in ensuring that we elect politicians who care about protecting human needs.
Join us on Thursday, October 3rd at 4pm ET to learn more about this incredibly important way to turn out voters for next month's election. Click here to register for the training.
If you can’t attend, register anyway and we’ll send you the recording and a toolkit in a follow-up email.
Friend-to-friend organizing is the most powerful way to increase voter turnout. Would you rather ask questions and be inspired to vote from a stranger or someone you know and trust? This is why vote tripling works. To conduct site-based vote tripling (SBVT) all you need to do is greet people, and ask them to send a text message reminding their friends to vote! It can be done in high-traffic areas like college campuses, community events, and polling locations on Election Day. You can also provide participants with incentives like stickers or candy! It’s like a game of telephone, but for voting!
This election is critical for human needs policies and programs and not only at the federal level. From state legislatures to county councils, all the way down to town councils, decisions made at every level of government greatly impact our ability to support housing programs, nutrition programs, and critical early childhood learning.
The best way to support human needs is by getting out to vote―and encouraging others to join you.
Click here to RSVP for this Thursday’s webinar with Vote Rev Action Fund to learn more about vote tripling and how you can use this tactic to reach more voters.
This training isn’t just for individuals―it’s for organizations such as food pantries, church groups, service providers, or others that want to help Get Out The Vote. This is something you can do without a lot of resources, but it works!
If you can’t attend but still want to support this critical work, donate today to power our Vote for Human Needs campaign.
