We recently attended the United Nations Summit of the Future in New York, where the the Pact for the Future was adopted, including critical mentions of population growth and sustainable development efforts. Florence Blondel has the highlights.

Population Matters joined more than 100 UK NGOs urging the government to halt further UK aid cuts, warning of damage to humanitarian efforts. We call for "immediate and bold action in the autumn budget" to restore previous aid levels.

The United Nations has released its updated Gender Snapshot Report for 2024 and the headline is that, while some progress has been made, change is happening far too slowly.

While in New York for the Summit of the Future, we held a successful hybrid event alongside partners from Nigeria, Kenya and India exploring the critical link between population dynamics and sustainability.
