Things are looking "Grimm" at the Hurst Public Library! Visit our All Hallows Read display this October and tell us about your favorite fairy tale creature or character. You'll be entered to win one of our spooky prize baskets (drawings for prizes will happen in the first week of November).

Family Fun Night: Bluey Birthday Bash

Tuesday, October 1, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

A Bluey birthday party for real life? Wack-a-doo! Bring the whole family to celebrate with snacks, party games, and more!

This program will be held in Program Rooms North and South.

Brown Bag Book Club

Thursday, October 3, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Do you like books? Do you want to talk about it? Join us in the Reading Alcove at noon on Thursday, September 5, for Brown Bag Book Club!

For October, we're discussing If These Wings Could Fly by Kyrie McCauley.

For November, we're discussing Did Ye Hear Mammy Died? by Seamas O'Reilly.

LEGO 18+

Thursday, October 10, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Are you an adult fan of LEGO? Join us for this adults-only 'block party' and LEGO of your worries!

This program will be held in the Learning Center.

Texas Bluebonnet Award Book Club

Tuesday, October 15, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Kids in grades 3-6 and a caregiver can dig deep into this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award List at Bluebonnet Book Club! For October, we'll be reading The Ghost of Spruce Point by Nancy Tandon.

This program will be held in the Reading Alcove.

Teen Creepy Cosplay Ducks

Thursday, October 17, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

They look harmless, but are they, really? Turn a rubber duck into a creepy cosplay ghost, monster, or your favorite character. You will receive a rubber duck to transform with paints, markers, and assorted add-ons. Leave with the spookiest tub toy ever. Open to grades 6-12.

This program will be held in the Learning Center.

Fellowship of the Crafters

Tuesday, October 22, 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.

Each crafting project is its own epic journey, but you don't have to craft alone. Join the Fellowship of the Crafters every 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the Library Reading Alcove with your current work in progress, regardless of the medium. We provide the chat and snacks, and you provide the craft!
