Politicians in Missouri are scheming to rig elections and take power away from the voters with an extreme gerrymandering plan. And they’re trying to get away with it while the public can't come to hearings due to the coronavirus pandemic.

We can't let them get away with this. We have until May 15th to stop politicians from putting their pro-gerrymandering plan on the ballot.

In 2018, voters in Missouri overwhelmingly (61% support!) passed a measure to make gerrymandering illegal and create a new system that stops special interests from controlling voting districts and holds politicians accountable to the voters.

Now, Missouri politicians are holding a short session to deal with urgent issues. And at the top of their agenda is overturning the voter-approved anti-gerrymandering amendment.

This is unacceptable – and it's not just about Missouri. If politicians in one state get away with this, self-serving politicians in other states could follow their lead and use this unprecedented public health crisis to take power away from the voters.

We need to get very loud, very quickly to show them that Americans everywhere won’t let politicians get away with overturning the will of the people and rigging our elections for the next decade.
