Reminder: DHS seeks new members for EIDBI advisory group [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Autistic adults, parents and caregivers, providers, lead agencies, advocates and others interested in early intervention services for autism and related conditions
* *Applications due:* Nov. 1, 2024
* *Summary:* DHS is recruiting new members for the EIDBI advisory group that advises DHS on a health benefit for people younger than age 21 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions. 

 

New resources for compensation thresholds tracking [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Disability waiver service providers
* *Summary:* DHS created resources about the Disability Waiver Rate System (DWRS) compensation thresholds policy to help providers report their costs correctly.





Training and event information

Engagement sessions about serving children with complex needs [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Child protection and child welfare case managers, children’s mental health case managers, disability waiver services case managers, child foster care licensors and other interested parties
* *Event date (based on region):* Oct. 16, Oct. 24, Oct. 31, Nov. 7, Nov. 20 and Dec. 5, 2024
* *Summary:* DHS and the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) are hosting regional engagement sessions regarding serving children with complex needs. Case managers or workers should consider attending if they are willing to provide feedback on their experiences serving children with complex needs, including successes and consistent challenges.

* *Audience:* Employment and day service providers and other interested parties
* *Event date:* Nov. 7, 2024
* *Summary:* “Understanding Customized Employment and the Discovery Process” is a virtual training opportunity hosted by the University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration (ICI) on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.
