Ongoing conflict has turned Gaza into the abyss according to one UN official as this crisis approaches the one-year mark.
Everything is destroyed. Life has halted. Over 41,000 people have lost their lives, and over 90,000 have been injured.
Basic needs are expensive and out-of-reach to survivors. Soap costs have risen by 1,000%, and there is nowhere safe to wash, inadequate clean water, and too few latrines and showers.
The situation is especially dire for the 46,000 pregnant women in Gaza — 5,500 of whom will give birth each month.
Amidst this devastating humanitarian crisis, your gifts have helped deliver:
- 29 sexual and reproductive health teams
- 55 community midwives
- More than 50,000 Dignity Kits and Reproductive Health Kits
- 2,400 Mama Kits
As more women are forced to give birth in these unthinkable conditions, we cannot turn away from this crisis. That’s why we have set a goal of raising $100,000 by the one-year anniversary to reach more women and girls with lifesaving aid — and they are counting on donors like you to step up.
Will you make a gift to deliver lifesaving care to those suffering in Gaza and wherever your help is most needed?
We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.
Thank you for being there for women and girls.
