MyImpact Challenge is a civic engagement contest and curriculum provided by the Bill of Rights Institute to create a robust understanding of citizenship and incentivize students to become active in their communities!

Each MyImpact Challenge submission has the potential to win up to $10,000 in student prizes . Teachers can win up to $500 in prizes.

The deadline to enter MyImpact Challenge is May 18, 2025, 11:59 PM.

Boost Civil Discourse through Classroom Debate

Our latest Think the Vote question examines the idea of Supreme Court term limits. One argument suggests the current court system is not democratic. The other argument is any change to the current court system would harm our constitutional government.

You can utilize the Think the Vote question as a class discussion where students can defend their viewpoint while exercising civil discourse.

Students with the best responses on each side of the debate will win a gift card, BRI swag, and be entered for a chance to win our grand prize of $1,000. Referring teachers will also win prizes of their own!

You can prepare for classroom debate with the Incubate Debate Toolkit and using subjects from your existing curriculum like Think the Vote, and easily turn them into straightforward, concise debate topics for the classroom.

Help Build Civic-Minded Student Leaders

Student Fellowship is a 6-month educational and scholarship program that further develops civics and leadership in high school students. At the end of the program, students will meet the BRI team in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, PA for a week of study and events.

Applications will open in October 2024 for the 2024-25 Student Fellowship program!
