Hello --
This is a very challenging time here in New Mexico and across
the world. With one of the highest per capita COVID-19 rates in
the country, the Navajo Nation has been struck particularly hard
by this pandemic.
Unfortunately, it is expected to get worse still for the
Navajo Nation, with a peak expected in mid-May. Social distancing
and regular hand washing are critical, but this is not always
possible when 30% of Native American households do not have
running water. Social distancing is also much more difficult with
multi-generational families living in the same home together and
in close proximity, creating even more risk for elders already
more vulnerable to getting sick.
Today is Giving Tuesday, and while many among us are facing
difficulties, we must continue supporting those in critical need.
The Navajo Nation has set up an official COVID-19 Relief Fund to
help their community through the pandemic.
If you're able, please consider donating here:

Thank you for your continued support and for keeping the
people of the Navajo Nation in your thoughts at this time.
Thank you,
