Hello --
Today, Americans are coming together to support causes that matter to them for #GivingTuesdayNow, an effort to help out mission-driven organizations amid the current economic disruption.
With less than six months until Election Day, will you support the New Politics for #GivingTuesdayNow?
We’re working with over three dozen leaders who come from service backgrounds and are answering the call to serve again through politics. They exhibit values like courage and selflessness that we so desperately need in our politics, but transitioning to this new career path is far from easy. Your support allows us to maximize our impact and build on our movement this November.

Subject: Today marks six months until Election Day
Friend,
Election Day — November 3, 2020 — is exactly six months away. We came into this year knowing it would be one of the most important elections of our lifetimes, but in just these past few weeks, our lives have been turned upside down. The coronavirus pandemic has made it more clear than ever that we need leaders in politics who will put selfishness and partisanship aside to serve their communities.
Our team remains hard at work advising over three dozen candidates and their staff — 41 military veterans and national service alumni, to be exact. Now, we’re looking ahead to the rest of the primary election season and gearing up for November.
Will you invest in the work we do to recruit, train, and advise candidates for office who have a background in service?
The crisis brought on by this pandemic has thrown into stark relief the differences between elected officials who are grounded in values and driven by service and… the rest. It has reminded communities from coast to coast that government has an impact on people's lives, and that the type of leaders we elect determines whether that impact is a positive or a negative one.
When we choose to work with a candidate, we're making a statement about their quality as a leader and the type of campaign they're running. Our candidates and elected officials aren’t breaking public health guidelines or enriching themselves through insider trading on privileged intelligence reports. They’re some of the people on the frontlines of this crisis, doing double duty as National Guard reservists, emergency room doctors, and plain-old community organizers in addition to campaigning for office.
Every election year is important, an opportunity for the next generation of leaders to answer the call. But in a presidential year, there are more seats up for grabs up and down the ticket than in any other. We’re counting on your support to maximize our impact and build on our movement this November.
Invest in a contribution to New Politics to help us continue building towards Election Day six months from today.
We understand that this is a difficult and uncertain time for many families, so whether you’re able to contribute today or hope to in the future, we are grateful for your support.
