Debbie Mucarsei-Powell is running for the U.S. Senate in Florida. Her opponent Rick Scott has been a Trump ally since 2016, when Scott was Governor of Florida. He has the support of Roger Stone and Charlie Kirk, a hardline Trump loyalist and cofounder of radical right Turning Point USA. Scott has been eyeing the job currently held by Sen. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Prior to serving one term in Congress, Mucarsei-Powell worked for non-profits. Every Senate seat is crucial if we are to maintain a pro-democracy Senate - and Florida is fluid right now.
