The Navajo Nation is one such community that has been especially hard hit by the coronavirus. In fact, during certain stretches in April, the number of COVID-19 cases per capita grew as fast in the Navajo Nation as in New York City, the epicenter of the outbreak in America. What's more, health officials predict that the worst is yet to come for the Navajo Nation, with a peak expected in mid-May.
