The next stimulus bill must put us first.
Fight for $15

John –

I am sick of being called an essential worker, when we are being treated like we are disposable.

Folks like us are losing our jobs, falling sick because we don't have proper safety equipment, losing our loved ones without the chance to say goodbye.

I don't even get paid sick leave. If I get sick, I'm forced to either go to work sick or I don't eat. It's that simple.

Meanwhile, Congress is more focused on taking care of billionaires and corporations like McDonald's, while leaving workers like us to fend for ourselves.

Right now Congress is deciding what will be in the next COVID relief package, and we will NOT be left behind again. SIGN NOW to demand Congress #ProtectAllWorkers.

The rich get richer, even in a pandemic.

My family is struggling to make a single stimulus payment last for weeks (well, those of us who have even managed to get our check) while multinational corporations receive hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding. It's not right.

I'm sick of companies like McDonald's running commercials to say we're essential, but then turning around and treating us like we're disposable. Congress MUST ensure that the next stimulus bill protects ALL workers by putting our needs first:

  1. Protect the health and safety of all workers – PPE, paid sick leave, and healthcare coverage for all.

  2. Ensure job, wage, and economic security for all workers – $15/hr minimum wage, hazard pay, and reliable hours to keep our families afloat.

  3. Invest in public services, not big corporations – food assistance programs and Medicaid expansion to help us through this crisis.

  4. Invest in an economy and democracy that work for all – higher wages, benefits, and the right to vote no matter what.

John, when we work together, they can’t ignore us. Send a message to your Representative demanding that they #ProtectAllWorkers.

We put our lives on the line each and every day to keep this country going – it's time for our leaders to do the same.

In solidarity,

Bettie Douglas
