Friend, it’s Gary Peters, Chair of the DSCC. Sorry for the longer message, but with so much riding on our Senate majority, I needed to make sure that you knew what we’re fighting for and how you can help.

Right now, the GOP is doing everything they possibly can to flip the Senate red and push their ultraconservative agenda from corner to corner of the country. And with Democrats defending nearly twice as many seats as Republicans, there’s simply no room for error.

What we do to help Democrats win their critical Senate races between now and November will be what decides our Senate majority. And hitting my $50,000 end-of-quarter fundraising goal by midnight is a crucial way to help Democrats pull ahead in key battleground states.

So I have to ask: Will you chip in $5 or more right now before our end-of-quarter deadline to help us keep the Senate blue?

As Chair of the DSCC, it’s my job to make sure that Democrats in make-or-break Senate races are winning their elections – including incumbents like Sherrod Brown in Ohio and Jon Tester in Montana. And I know that if we band together behind them in this critical moment, the GOP won’t stand a chance against them.

Not only that, but Ted Cruz is the most vulnerable Republican running for reelection this cycle. My friend, Colin Allred, is running a strong race against him, and he's rising in the polls. He faces an uphill battle, but I’m confident that with grassroots folks like you standing by him, we have a real shot at pushing Allred to victory.

The GOP is aware of this, friend. They see Democrats gaining ground in their states and rallying grassroots supporters behind them. That’s why they’re spending like crazy, dishing out every single megadonor dollar they have on hand to try and beat these Democratic candidates.

I know a $5 grassroots donation might not seem like much when you look at the millions of dollars the GOP raised last year – but if each and every one of us chips in just $5, we’ll have all the resources we need to defend our Senate majority and make sure our country doesn’t fall into the hands of extremists.

This grassroots movement is only going to save our Senate majority if everyone’s in it – including you, friend. Please, chip in $5 before midnight to help me hit my $50,000 end-of-quarter goal and help us keep the Senate blue.
