I know you’ve probably received a ton of emails this week asking for money ahead of the FEC fundraising deadline tonight, but I hope you’ll take a minute to read this one.

Listen, I hate asking for even a dollar of your hard-earned money. But the reality is that fundraising is the price of admission for the job I love.

As a member of the House of Representatives, my seat is on the ballot every two years – which means I’m almost constantly running for re-election, and in a toss-up district like PA-07, it’s even more important that we raise money and build a strong campaign every two years.

This cycle, Republicans have already poured millions of dollars into ads attacking me and propping up my anti-choice opponent, so we need to fight back with everything we have in these final five weeks.

That starts with hitting our grassroots fundraising goal before our FEC deadline tonight at midnight, so can I count on you? As someone who doesn't take a penny of corporate PAC money, the contributions from folks like you are the key to my success!
