After three very busy weeks in Washington, D.C., we have reached October recess, during which I look forward to spending time in Texas meeting with all of you and seeing more of our district. As we move into the fall, it is important to remember that this is an important Election year and to remember to vote! Election day is November 5th, 2024. Check out your local county website for voting locations and early voting times.

• H.R. 9308, No Frankenrail Act of 2024, To prohibit the use of Federal funds in certain high-speed rail projects until such date as the Secretary of Transportation certifies to the appropriate committees of Congress the completion of at least one mile of rail or electromagnetic guideway of such projects and for other purposes
• H.Res. 1447, Expressing support for the designation of the week of September 22 through September 28, 2024, as "Gold Star Families Remembrance Week"
