hey John, just wanted to make sure you saw this:
350.org is launching a groundbreaking new campaign to empower remote
communities in the Brazilian Amazon to take renewable energy generation
into their own hands.
and at midnight tonight, we're closing the books on our budget for our
next financial year — which means there's only a few hours left to raise
the funds that will determine how big we can go.

the fossil fuel industry has their sights set on Latin America.
they are extracting millions of barrels of oil every day, and they are
planning several new fossil fuel projects in the region. they want to
ensure that every community in the world is reliant on their dirty energy
for the sake of their profits. that's why they see us as a threat, and why
they have tried to block community-owned renewable energy through their
lobbyists and fossil fuel subsidies in multiple countries. but we won't
let them stop us.
we are racing against the clock to build momentum, gather funds, and kick
off the transition to community-owned renewable energy in Latin America
before Big Oil creates an overreliance on dirty fuels in the region. but
we can't do it alone, John.
every contribution between now and midnight is an investment in the future
of our movement, our communities, and our planet. [ [link removed] ]so if you are able,
can you chip in before our midnight deadline?
thank you for everything you do,
Deb
