There have been 409 mass shootings in the first three quarters of 2024. The last four months in a row–May, June, July, and August–each recorded high numbers of mass shootings across America.
We share numbers like this not to sensationalize, but to emphasize how much work we have left to do. We cannot afford to press pause on the fight to end gun violence.
