Businesses have a leading role to play in building a society where everyone can participate fairly in our economy and democracy, and access what they need to thrive.
To support businesses in this responsibility, the Corporate Racial Equity Alliance released the Business Standards for 21st Century Leadership and the first eight draft standards in May 2024. Today, we are releasing the remaining draft standards for public comment.
The newly released standards focus on the impact businesses have on local communities and on society at large, including through corporate sustainability strategies, philanthropy, and civic and political engagement. We have appreciated all of the feedback we have received on the first eight standards and look forward to hearing from you before the end of our public comment period, which closes on October 31.
