John,
I hope you’re doing well! I have some uplifting news to share about our Election Protection mobilization right here in Pennsylvania.
As we gear up for the upcoming presidential election, our programs to help voters and stop voter suppression are in full swing, ensuring that EVERY eligible voter in Pennsylvania has the chance to cast their ballot — despite the challenges we face from those trying to suppress voter participation.
Thanks to the incredible support from Common Cause Pennsylvania members like you, we're already making a significant impact on voters in our state.
As you read this, we’re building a robust training infrastructure to keep our volunteers informed about the latest election changes and empower voters to navigate any new challenges that could hinder their participation.
Our dedicated team is focused on:
-
Stationing poll monitors at high-risk locations to ensure voters can cast their ballots without issues. These volunteers are trained to identify and address problems before they escalate, providing direct support to those who need it.
-
Organizing volunteer attorneys to respond to voting issues on the ground and via the Election Protection Call Center, to ensure we are assisting voters every step of the way.
-
Coordinating our partners to tackle disinformation and monitor for intimidation, because we know that our network is stronger and we can reach more communities when we work together.
We’ve made great strides, but I know we can do even more for voters in Pennsylvania. As we approach Election Day, the challenges are growing. New anti-voter laws have emerged across the country, and the threat of disinformation is as strong as ever, fueled by the narratives of the last election.
That’s why I’m reaching out today. Your contribution can directly help prepare our dedicated volunteers, ensuring that voters in Pennsylvania have the assistance they need to navigate this election.
Will you join me in this critical effort to protect voters in Pennsylvania by sponsoring a volunteer today?
John, while the headlines may be daunting at times, I’m inspired by our passionate Election Protection volunteers in Pennsylvania. They understand the importance of safeguarding our democracy and are stepping up to make a difference.
Let’s ensure they have the resources and support they need to assist voters across Pennsylvania.
In solidarity and with gratitude,
Philip Hensley-Robin, Executive Director
