Hi John,
Our hearts break for the communities impacted by Hurricane Helene, particularly those who lost a loved one due to the storm.
Unprecedented flooding, power outages, damage to infrastructure, and loss of homes have left millions reeling from the aftermath of the storm. Now is the time to step up and speak up for these communities and take action to care for our fellow Americans.
We asked on the ground organizations and communities how we can help. Here are links to nonprofits across Georgia and the south that are providing aid and support to those impacted:
United Way is doing vital work in multiple states impacted by the storm but especially in South and Coastal Georgia.
Second Harvest of South Georgia is providing food to impacted areas.
With a focus on helping those in poverty, Caring for Others, INC has been collecting supplies and monetary donations to help Georgia residents in need.
The Salvation Army is preparing to provide emergency aid, food, drinks, emotional and spiritual care, and long-term recovery services to survivors and rescue workers.
Thank you for your generosity in this difficult time,
