Hi John, The Washington D.C. General Election is happening, Tuesday, November 5, and voting is happening now! Ballot packets will be mailed to all registered voters beginning today, Monday, September 30, so check the status of your ballot here and keep an eye out for it in the mail if you haven't received one yet. Learn more about the upcoming Washington D.C. General Election! Mail ballot drop boxes will be distributed to 55 locations throughout the District, and will be open to voters starting Friday, October 11. Once mail ballot drop boxes open, voters will be able to return their voted mail-in ballots to any mail ballot drop box location until 8:00 p.m. local time on November 5. Voters may also return their voted mail-in ballot via USPS (must be postmarked by November 5 and received by the Board of Elections no later than November 15), or in person at any Vote Center during the Early Voting period or on Election Day. Together, we have the power to decide our future — and it's more important than ever that we make our voices heard and participate in every election. Remember that if you encounter any problems voting, call or text 866-OUR-VOTE. Thank you for your commitment to our democracy. Deirdre, Rock the Vote |
