Maybe it’s just a coincidence that the same day CNN reports that Senator Collins is in serious electoral trouble, Salon reports Mitch McConnell is funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars into Maine to defend her seat.

Or maybe it’s because Mitch knows we can defeat Susan Collins -- and that we can flip the Senate.

McConnell is pouring over half a million dollars into Maine through One Nation, a political nonprofit that conveniently doesn't have to disclose its donors. It also happens to share offices with the Senate Leadership Fund, a McConnell super PAC.

Salon reports that One Nation and the Senate Leadership Fund have raised a combined $190 million to protect Collins and the most vulnerable Republican seats. We can’t compete with that type of cash, but if we all chip in, we don’t need to. We have something better: real grassroots support.

Defeating Susan Collins is going to take all of us -- chip in $20.20, or whatever you can afford, to join the effort to flip the Senate and elect Democrats up and down the ticket. [ [link removed] ]
