Congressman Burchett Suspends Campaign Fundraising, Urges Support for Helene
Victims
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 30, 2024) – Congressman Tim Burchett is suspending all
campaign fundraising activities while parts of East Tennessee recover from the
effects of Hurricane Helene, and he is encouraging the community to support the
relief effort.
“Like everyone across the country, I’ve watched in horror as Hurricane Helene
devastated our neighbors in Upper East Tennessee.
“As of today, Sept. 30, 2024, I’m suspending all campaign fundraising efforts
for two weeks and encouraging all my supporters to donate to or volunteer with
disaster relief efforts in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. I’m
donating $2,500 to theEast Tennessee Foundation’s Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster
Relief Fund

and $2,500 toSamaritan’s Purse.
