The Republican National Committee (RNC) has filed a petition in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court arguing that voters who make small mistakes on mail-in ballots shouldn’t be allowed to fix them — or even vote using a provisional ballot — on Election Day. 1

They’re asking the court to reject ballots over tiny technical errors – like forgetting to date your ballot, neglecting to sign it, or not putting it in the right envelope.

Imagine that. You go through the effort of making your voice heard, only to have your ballot tossed aside because of an easily fixable mistake.

These aren’t violations of election integrity. They’re simple errors that any voter could make, especially as more Pennsylvanians use mail-in voting. Yet the RNC is pushing for these ballots to be discarded, without any recourse. It’s voter suppression, plain and simple.
