It's looking pretty 💩 out there
|
John, in the last week, we've seen a disgusting deluge of sewage discharges around the country. And whilst we monitor pollution year round, the end of the bathing season, today, means the end of the Environment Agency testing water quality.
But we know that surfers, swimmers, dippers and paddlers are still using the water. And that the increase in rainfall during the colder months, makes pollution events even more likely.
That's why we're campaigning for year-round testing and the extension of the bathing season. Read our End Sewage Pollution Manifesto for more info.
We will keep monitoring discharges for you with our Safer Seas and River Service App, and you can help us improve this free service with a three minute survey and in turn pressure regulators to change bathing water seasons to 12 months a year. Simply click on the button below and take the three minute survey.

Every survey taken helps up build up a bigger picture of who is in the water and where, and we are particularly interested if you use the app, but still surf or swim even when there are warnings not to.
