As a daughter of Chinese immigrants growing up in the Houston suburbs, I lived in one of the most culturally diverse counties in the country. But the elected officials making decisions about my life and those in my community didn’t reflect this diversity.
As a result, I grew up seeing the people I love most face barriers to accessing critical resources due to language barriers and racial profiling. Queer and trans classmates struggled to find support to help them embrace and explore their identities.
Project 2025 would double down on the harmful policies that already exist in Texas and expand upon them to further endanger immigrants, young people, queer people, pregnant people — all of us!
It’s time to throw down! This Thursday at 7:30 PM ET/ 6:30 PM CT, I’m taking action with UWDA to empower young Texans to protect themselves and their communities by stopping Project 2025 enablers in their tracks. Will you join me at our Karol G and Feid listening party and text bank?

We’re the leaders we’ve been waiting for, friend, and it’s time to remind these anti-immigrant extremists that WE have the power in this moment, not them. Together, we can stop these Project 2025 henchmen from getting their way!
Under Project 2025, our immigrant communities in Texas and across the country would be at risk for mass deportations, we’d lose access to and be criminalized for seeking medication abortion options by mail, and our government would cut all investments into renewable energy that heal our planet.
We’ve won protections for our immigrant communities and defeated anti-immigrant policies before, and I have no doubt we have the power to do it again!
