For generations, our communities have built maps and bridges. We’ve pooled knowledge and resources. We’ve created solutions to every problem set before us. We’ve kept each other safe.

In July, at Netroots Nation, movement leaders gave a masterclass in organizing across issue areas to build power and safety for all.

Teal grounded us in the reality that in order to build a better future, all people must have the resources they need to survive. Oluchi reminded us that our power in the streets comes from remaining engaged in conversation with communities and elders. Maria emphasized that in order to join in the fight, everyone must first feel represented in our vision for the future. Anna beautifully articulated how identifying stories that build power for our movements is key to crafting winning strategy.
