A Conversation about the Climate Conversation

350 Chicago is excited to announce and invite you to a new kind of event: A Conversation About the Climate Crisis. This is not a webinar. There is no expert speaker. Instead, this event will be a Zoom meeting that brings together people who want to discuss their climate crisis concerns & questions. We are especially inviting all 350 Chicago members and our mailing list members. Join us!

Factoring spewing pollution.

We want to give you space & time to speak with each other about climate crisis issues to learn from each other. We will begin with an open-ended discussion about any topic regarding the climate crisis, moderated by 350 Chicago members. We will let the conversation on the climate crisis go where it goes, and then we will move to several break out rooms, each covering a different topic. A week before the event, we will send a survey to all registrants with a bunch of options for breakout room topics. Please fill out the survey as soon as you get it, so we can best plan this part of the talk.

Wind turbines and solar panels.

This event is non-partisan and open to all who want to have a serious discussion and learn more about climate change. We ask that everyone be civil and polite. No unfounded conspiracy theories, please or aggression. Important note: We will not be discussing whether climate change is real or not, or any unfounded conspiracy theories. 350 Chicago accepts the broad, decades-long scientific consensus that human activity is warming the planet, changing the climate with devastating consequences, as we have already begun to witness – and, if not stopped, presents an existential threat to all life on this planet.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts, your ideas, your questions! Please register and keep an eye out for that survey!
