You’ve likely been getting a lot of emails this past week and it’s hard to keep track of everything flying around, so we wanted to take a moment to give you the latest directly from HQ about what’s going on in our race:

Joe McGraw continues to show he’s as extreme as they come. McGraw has repeatedly said he prayed for the overturn of Roe, wants to end the separation of church and state, wants to ship jobs out of the district to keep drilling oil, and has released homophobic dog whistles about Eric to voters’ homes.
Even with a Democratic incumbent, the district has been trending to the right. Just a year ago, Democrats had a 6% lead amongst IL-17 voters. Today, that lead is just 2%, putting our race well within the margin of error and making it a true swing seat that we have to fight to hold.
Republicans are spending big against us. McGraw and National Republicans launched a $267,000 ad buy in the district, in addition to money coming from the Koch Brothers and dark money supporters hoping to flip this seat.
