This week’s newsletter focuses on how we can serve the communities too often neglected by the scientific and medical establishment. In “Shades of Inequity: Why It’s Crucial to Diversify Medical Illustrations ([link removed]) ,” I discuss the lack of diversity in medical illustrations, why these disparities matter, and what creatives are doing to make them more inclusive. By drawing critical attention to how hospitals engage with the communities that surround them, in “Anchor Institution Strategies in Hospitals: Reflections on the Past Two Decades ([link removed]) ,” NPQ Editor Steve Dubb reflects on the progress we’ve made over the past 20 years, though there is still much work to do. In “Sparking Positive Change: The Power of Community-Centered Health Education
