As if November 5th wasn’t important enough already to win seats all over Fairfax and Virginia, we have some important news. Yesterday, a far-right Republican announced his candidacy for Commonwealth's Attorney in Fairfax County. Republicans fear the progress sweeping across Virginia and so they brought in a Trump White House Attorney in response. The Republican is out-of-touch with our values with policy proposals based in perpetuating the War on Drugs, using tough-on-crime policies, and laying the groundwork for Trump in Fairfax County. If you agree that Donald Trump's politics of hate and division don't belong in Fairfax County, join us for a fundraiser on 8/27 supporting Steve Descano.
Steve Descano is a veteran, former federal prosecutor, and our Democratic nominee for Commonwealth’s Attorney (Virginia’s version of District Attorney). Steve has worked tirelessly to make our community and Commonwealth a better, more progressive place. From serving in the Army, to helping stand up the Police Civilian Review Panel, to protecting a women’s right to choose on the board of NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, Steve Descano is the progressive champion we need to bring real reform to our criminal justice system.
