MONDAY E'NEWS Fall Board Meeting Summary Held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 June Board Meeting minutes were approved. The Executive Director provided a financial report. Membership Report: 11,513 members as of 9.26.24, a decrease of 1.3% from June 2024 due to the normal summer lull in CPL classes. Attorney Steve Dulan provided a confidential legal update to the Board. The Board appointed President Susan McCray-King as temporary Treasurer until the election of officers at the Annual Meeting. The following individuals were appointed as MCRGO Master Instructors for four year terms: Ken Boyd, Dean Craig, Jeremy Danielson, Keith Finch, Mark Harrop, Al Lallinger, Michael Lynn, Ron Morgan, Jeff Stroud, and Jacob Wedge. The Board approved an appropriation for the purchase of MCRGO Challenge Coins as a fundraiser. The Executive Director discussed ongoing voter registration and GOTV peer-to-peer texting efforts done in cooperation with NRA-PVF. The addition of two annual southern Michigan picnics to replace the Fall Firearms Festival will be discussed at the Annual Meeting. The issues of a pro-gun business directory, an alternative online payment method, the design revision of MCRGO CPL course materials, an automatic membership renewal option, and no cost youth memberships are scheduled for the Annual Meeting. The Board took a position to OPPOSE SB 942 (would ban the manufacture, sale, and possession of bump stocks) MCRGO Fall Firearms Festival Recap Thank you to everyone who attended MCRGO's Fall Firearms Festival in Scottville on Saturday, September 21.
