We got word of a Republican-backed group taking a poll in my District.

This right-wing group was asking my neighbors for their reactions to potential attacks about me, my voting record — and my identity as a queer woman.

Instead of talking about real issues like healthcare costs, the climate crisis, or protecting our freedoms, this group is focused squarely on my identity.

It’s offensive — not just to me, but to the hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ+ Washingtonians and their families. We deserve leaders who see all of us as PEOPLE, not as the hook for some nasty attack ad.
