John -
Climate activists in Latin America are up against the entire force of the
fossil fuel industry:
Big Oil is extracting more than 8 million barrels a day across Latin
America and the Caribbean, and they plan to grow by 5.8 million barrels a
day by 2028.^1
The Brazilian government and fossil fuel companies are planning to start
offshore oil extraction near the mouth of the Amazon River, one of the
three largest rivers in the world.^2
Our movement has been working within Amazonian local communities to stop
the fossil gas extraction, but the pressure from big corporations and the
politicians they are bankrolling is mounting... and we need your help to
fight back:
[ [link removed] ]Can you make a donation today to support
climate activists across Latin America and help launch our new solar
energy campaign in the Brazilian Amazon before our fundraising deadline on
September 30? We only have 24 hours before we close the books on our
budget and we're still falling short.

In the very heart of the Amazon forest, fossil fuel company Eneva is
extracting fossil gas near the territories of the Mura Indigenous
people.^3
350.org has been supporting the Mura people's fight to protect their lands
for over three years, but they feel the growing pressure from Eneva to
expand its operations in the region.
That is why in that exact same region, we are launching a solar energy
campaign — our biggest and boldest climate campaign to-date to empower
remote communities in the Brazilian Amazon to take renewable energy
generation into their own hands.
But this campaign will not be easy. And we are facing a rapidly
approaching deadline on September 30 — the date when we close the budgets
for our next fiscal year.
[ [link removed] ]So with only 24 hours left, can you please make a
donation today and help fight back against the fossil fuel
industry and start creating renewable energy alongside the people of the
Amazon?
[ [link removed] ]FIGHT BACK
The fossil fuel industry is fighting for its life, but if we all come
together to take them down, we can make destructive fossil fuels a thing
of the past, one step at a time:
* One community at a time: We work directly with community leaders and
activists. Every successful campaign helps us move closer to victory.
* One person at a time: Your support adds to a powerful movement that
starts with just one person saying "enough."
* One donation at a time: Every donation helps fund renewable energy
projects that change lives.
So thank you for never giving up hope,
John.
If all of us do what we can — one day, one community, or one donation at a
time — we can create a brighter future for all.
In solidarity,
Aggy Appiah-Hall
