Congressman Mark Green is a veteran who proudly served his country in the US Army. He served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, and Battalion Personnel Officer in the 194th Separate Armor Brigade, and from 1990–1992, Mark was a Supply Officer and an Airborne Rifle Company commander in the famed 82nd Airborne Division. He also served as a Flight Surgeon in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) from 2002-2004. Mark's military awards include the Bronze Star, The Air Medal, The Air Medal with "V" device for valor under heavy enemy fire, and numerous other medals for service.

In 2018, Mark was elected to Congress. He currently serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, where he has been a leading voice for securing our Southwest border and ending the flow of criminals and dangerous drugs into our country.
